97 year old male with ischemic threatened left lower extremity limb from atrial fibrillation embolus to the left popliteal artery presented with 5 days of acute left lower extremity rest pain.
Patient was taken to The Vascular Group of Naples Office Based Lab (OBL) for treatment by Dr. Hiranya Rajasinghe, endovascular surgeon from Naples, Florida.
The patient underwent successful left lower extremity angiography, percutaneous aspiration mechanical thrombectomy with novel QuickClear Philips device of the left popliteal artery followed by stenting with excellent clinical result and was discharged from the office lab ambulatory.
